enemies to lovers AND investigative work in a fantasy setting, oh this is going to deliver I can feel it

l.k steven’s is fab. she keeps you intrigued, entertained and interesting all at once while making her complicated world building easy to navigate enough to understand it gradually. this is impressive and not at all something I expected from this story

that’s a really freaking good prologue
