this book was basically 3 parts:
- history of psychedelics / psychedelic research
- detailed accounts of the authors experiences w psychedelics
- neuroscience of psychedelics / future in the mental health field

i was honestly quite put off by the lack of depth regarding the vast history of psychedelics in non-western culture. i like the neuroscience / psych part but i think the history section was a disservice
