Going to try to give this book a chance before I fully send my decision to DNF it. The premise is interesting, and it has potential, but if I have to read the word TikTok one more damn time.... (It's been mentioned 5 times in the span of 23 pages, mind you; I've started a tally for it bc it's so annoying.)

Is this a good time to mention that this book is classified under the horror genre? I'm starting to think the real horror isn't the murderous wasps; it's actually the author trying to appeal to a Gen Z audience when the book would have been entirely perfect without all the try-hard lingo.
