I apologise for having mistakenly defined this masterpiece as a romantic novel. What can I say, it is wonderful and has only reinforced my thesis that anguish is the fear of being discovered is much worse than a real punishment, which can often be rewarding. It's the first book by Zweig that I've read and I have to say that it didn't disappoint me I can't wait to get more!
