Amber, this is the most pretentious literature known to humankind. You’ll either love or hate it.

Sorry, but this has to be the most pretentious book I have ever read. War is a serious topic, no doy, and to see written from the character’s perspective kind of bothers me, as if war is nothing more than salt to the sea, especially since I’ve just read two great novels on WW2. I know this is just the character’s perspective, but the lack of significance annoys me.
