If I wasn’t so intrigued by the mystery of the vampire lore, I’d have already dnf’d this book. I see no reason why the main character has to look like a child?! From reviews I’ve read, there seems to be no revelation for this and just makes for a constantly uncomfortable read - and I’m used to uncomfortable narratives. Not to mention I’m so disappointed in the writing itself.
