Yeah let's try to have fight with a regular human and Esther for control of a normal knife feel high stakes 232 pages into this book after shes already shown to be able to teleport and meld into shadows becoming incorporeal. I can really feel the tension 😑

There is just no way that is relationship (if you can call it that) ends well at all.

I really like how author writes, it feels very vivid to me and easy to imagine exactly what's happening and what eveything looks like. This would be very cool as a movie or series I think.

I tried the audiobook while I was working out and the VA is doing a great job. She's singing when there's songs and her character voices are great. Her voice for Miriam.. (the creature of shadow. Woman?? ) ngl is kinda hot
