Yes, Mr. Caro, I do want to learn about the grass in the Texas Hill Country and how it deceived 19th century settlers into believing the land was fertile for crop cultivation, only to realize the soil was thin with bedrock underneath. Please write 2 full chapters on this subject alone!!!

It has begun. I’m not looking back. I’m taking on the 4-volume LBJ series. This’ll take at least a year for me to finish but I don’t care. Fuck me up, Robert Caro. Right now he’s just talking about the grass in the Texas Hill Country… I’m invested.
