Don't waste your time. The characters are pathetic, one dimensional stereotypes. The writing is what you would expect from an ex-journalist: bland and monotonous. Which actually fits the "made for television B-movie" plot. The mystery of who killed "little bird like Megan" is blatantly obvious very early into the novel. Another bestseller that proves the world's education system has gone down the drain.

I've given up on this book. The characters are one dimensional and the writing falls flat. Afraid it's joining the ranks of Dan Brown books: authors who simply lucked out and, for some unimaginable reason, made money from mediocrity.

I'm wondering if this ever gets better!!! Hate the writing style (if it can even be referred to as style) and the characters are insipid and annoying. Is it worth my time??
