A protagonist with mother-issues and some other deep seated mental issues, making her lack essential social skills. Leading her to have very low self esteem. Especially with her career.
Lowen is a new-coming author being approached to fill in the shoes of a famous author Verity as co-author. She doesn't thinks she is up for the job though.
