Pynchon-level population density without any of the justification. An endless parade of thin, forgettable characters, repetitive dialogue, and sparse plot development. Somehow the meaningless conversations get pages of attention while genuinely consequential events are dispatched in a paragraph. I finished it mostly out of spite.
