Granted, it's no longer about them, since any meaningful thing from them would be flashbacks. Anything present would be done by Avery.

Haha. It's in the past, and Rill gets given the name, May Weather. Yep, it's May Crandall. She's Rill. I knew it

Okay, so Grandma Judy recognizes the photo from May Crandall, and even better/worse. She calls yhe other woman in the photo, Queenie. So she's definitely one of Briny kids. Also, from her demeanor, I think she's Camelia. She also said Rill when thinking back. so yep.
Now for the whole story, I think it's a case of the kids getting sold off to different families and trying to find each other or something similar

Okay, so effectively, when Briny and the other adult went away, some police men came and kidnapped all the kids. The women in charge is Ms. Tairn, or something like that. Okay, I get it now. Basically, the woman, Ms. Tairn, is the supplier of kids, and the rich peope whose kids died will be replaced by one of these kids as an "orphan"

We go back in the past again, and the midwife basically gives up since she can't really do anything and is urging the husband, Briny, to bring her to a hospital, but he won't. So she leaves, asks for her payment, but they won't give it to her since the job was to "deliver" the baby.
Okay, now I also reread or more like skimmed, and now have the characters name and age. Now I also get the story a bit more and the

Okay, a couple more "confirmations." "She was found two weeks ago in a house along the river with her dead sister’s body and a dozen cats." Okay, so we can confirm the lady is the same kid who was on the river narrating about her mother's birth since they lived by the river.

When our protagonist, a lawyer of some sort, visited the nursing home, an old woman grabbed her hand and seemed to recognize her. I'll guess that the old woman must have been her older sister because later it seemed like we were in the past, and she was recounting the story of the event when her mother was about to give birth to twins. If we cross-reference, we can assume one of the twins was the switched baby

section started about the person referring to the person in the present, but then being like a flashback of them referring to what happened in the past. Either way, that's my biggest gripe so far: the two narratives in different times.
Story so far. In the beginning, a baby was switched because the rich lady had a stillborn. Now I think that switched baby is now our protag in the different family.

Okay, so far, it's good. Though I'm not much of a fan of telling the story through multiple narrative occuring in different times. It's a bit difficult to them apart for example, who's speaking. Like, it is the person speaking in the present, or them speaking in the past. And there's two voice that feel the same, as in, I can't tell them apart, which confused me when a
