The worst thing you can do in a book is have characters that don't want to have an adult conversation with each other. Like no it doesn't cause suspense and it doesn't make me excited to continue reading. It just frustrates me like you're a mom and her daughter. Literally just go and confront each other it's not that hard. Also, 7% in and the MMC and FMC are already fantasizing about each other? Really?
