actually the worse series of events that occurred

i feel like woon should’ve gotten way more characterization if he was gonna be this important.

50%, i think ill finish this book for the NOW conflict of lan and his jade usage though it should not have taken half the book to finally have the friction of lan and hilo and lan realizing hilo is the real head of the clan and he is the figurehead. i think i just don’t like how the writing tbh but the plot is starting to get there…

i’m so close to dnf-ing this book, was really interested in the vibe and concept but finding it really hard to keep reading or pick this up

there’s no way the same person who wrote the first three chapters wrote the the chapters after that, actually insane

the amount of exposition lore dumps within the first two chapters is starting to piss me off. worse than any fantasy book i’ve read all year
