Dear God, WTF happened to this book? How did we go from a dude realistically being shaken by killing someone he hadn't intended to cliche' Booktok revenge porn? God, I'm so disappointed...I thought you were different! *sob*😭😭😭

One small detail I would have changed here is that the H is spying on the h in the store and he thinks it's weird she's acting super jumpy and paranoid. Bro! You still have the injuries from YOU robbing the place, you don't think 3 days after being kidnapped at gun point, seeing someone else shot in the head, surviving and escaping via car crash might make her a tad jumpy and paranoid?! 😂

Already this is a cut above most dark romance because when there's a casualty in a robbery gone wrong, they all feel the weight of it! They're not all "Fuck everyone, kill everyone who looks at us twice, hardened killer at the age of 22" like so many dark romances are these days. I appreciate that so much. It gives the story a weight of reality to it.
