How’re you getting on with this? I read the first five chapters as a sample before it came out many moons ago and vaguely recall enjoying the characters. I don’t know why I didn’t continue with it, could be the celebrity author thing 🤔

I have a phobia of Richard Osman. As some kind of sadistic joke, a friend got me the first two books as a birthday present (bastard). Because of that I went in with a very negative attitude, BUT it's not as bad as I thought it would be. It's a bit light for my tastes, but there is enough for me to want to know who did it. I like the old people, Joyce especially and casting Celia Imrie in that part is genius. I wonder if he had her in mind when he wrote it. It won't cure my phobia of Richard Osman though.
