Triad of Thebes was more interesting than I thought.

Isis was rather contradictory to herself during the whole Horus Vs Seth period, which made it hard to tolerate her.

And Seth was rather disgusting in his attacks on Horus, going as far as SA in attempts to get Horus to be dismissed by the other god's, only to fall pregnant himself by eating seed ridden lettuce.

No one is sane within these myths.

"Isis' appearance as a bird hovering over her husband's erect penis from which she received the seed that enabled her to continue the great line of gods" The myths of the Egypt get stranger the more you delve into them but they are fascinating nonetheless

Isis is incredibly crafty, creating a snake made of Ra's own substance to harm him, watching all gods and goddess' fail to heal him so she can do so only when he gave her what she wanted.

Going through the Great Ennead of Heliopolis definitely allows you to see how the relationships between the god's and goddess' are rather twisted in nature. They all have commited some form of wrongdoing but are shown to be innocent in comparison to Seth due to his actions against Osiris, Isis and Horus. It is rather curious that he was deemed evil for it, whilst the others were still worshipped (tho deserved)

The story of Ra (god of the sun) was very interesting, to put it to words. Learning that it was believed that he masturbated, poured his own seed into his mouth and spat out his children, was not something I had expected to learn. The bloodline as well as rather complicated and routed in incest, that would now be seen as taboo. The concept of God's and Goddesses, as well as past life being so utterly different...
