It’s a fascinating concept but I wonder if we need to include women in a story if the only purpose they serve is a decorative other. And even in its winding story telling, patch-working stories about train stations and drawing fish and a murder in Paris, the through line is a mistrust of women, especially those who are aware of their condition as the other.
