Finished the first section “Toward a Feminist Poetics” which thoughtfully explores the first dual depictions of women’s character. Angel v monster—Eve and Lilith, Snow White and the Evil Queen, and other literary characters and authors who both further illustrate and embody these representations of femininity. Really lovely first section to introduce the 19th century literary environment for female authors.
