Great story, great prose. Main lessons: don't isolate yourself, always use critical thinking before commiting to any ideology, and don't be a piece of crap, which we can learn from: including but not limited to Natalie (too long of a list), Caleb (negligent husband, negligent father, wife-beater, cheater, and useless tbfh), Shannon (literally a homewrecker and proud? Wtf), Doug, Natalie's mom, Reena, etc.
