Found this book in one of those take a book leave a book neighbourhood libraries one peoples lawns. I’ve previously read Donoghue as assigned reading for a university English class of medical narratives. It was ‘The Woman Who Gave Birth To Rabbits’ a historical short story collection.

I’ll admit I have an inherent bias against the Catholic Church in general as well as organized religion that dictates what people should do based on interpretations of writings and are selective in which rules should be followed and what should be ignored or altered to fit the authority’s own personal agenda and needs.
