Amish has retold an epic in a different and unexpected way. It's not the best writing per se and he should have paid more attention to detail. E.g. naming Manthara's fictional daughter Roshni is odd as "Roshni" seems more a latter day urdu inspired word. Also mention of Salsette Island when clearly that name came into existence only with the Portuguese.
