Some want to draw man out of the bog in which god or fate or blind mechanism had drowned him, or otherwise empty it, so that he could reclaim a territory and breath again, but mud and dirt sustain him, make him what and how and who he is.

Regarding a man so forcefully baptised in this bog such that it evaporated on impact, it can be disconcerting to imagine him drowning in it.
