Finished the Unraveling. Only one section left. Really locked in right now and enjoying this read. It’s interesting to see that new info that hasn’t made it to the show yet. Juliette’s arrival to silo 17 and meeting of Solo is handled so differently in the two mediums, with the show it’s a slow burn character study and deliberate pacing structure to last the season, whereas in the book its an exposition dump.

Finished up the third section and am now caught up with the material they used for Silo season 1. I’m assuming the rest of the book will take me up through the ending of Silo season 2.
It’s kinda crazy how short Juliette’s time as sheriff is in the book compared to the show. And also how many obstacles the show invented to keep the mystery engaging rather than the much quicker sleuthing Jules does here.

Finished the Proper Gauge section. It’s kinda crazy how the first 130 pages of this book are not set from Juliette’s perspective, it’s a very interesting and unique way to introduce your main character. I really enjoyed Jahns’ and Marnes’ journey through the silo and the interior perspectives for Jahns were very well done. From here on out, it’s Jules’ story.

Finished the Holston section. I guess this was originally the whole short story before Howey decided to turn it into an actual novel. Coming from the tv series, I knew what to expect, but I also enjoyed the various differences and the way in which the interior pov of the character shines through in the book. Excited to see how Juliette fares.
