The dialogue and character work is fantastic, but I keep getting lost in the prose. There are large sections of descriptive prose, which wouldn’t be a problem if it helped illuminate the world around the characters (especially given that this is sci-fi, so we go into this book with absolutely no knowledge of the world and how it works), but, alas, it does not.
