I had this book sitting on my shelf unread, for years. Finally decided to read it - got barely into it, when I realized what any negative reviews would say, and who would abandon this series. I remember a friend of mine heard this series was good, and bought a lot of the books to read. And I never heard from him about them. A hoarder, he may never have read them...or he got to this one and rejected the series...
