A lot to say about this book.

Every time Stalin’s intense paranoia and caution is mentioned it is immediately followed by “and then Stalin’s worst fears came true…” and it’s related to heavy handed US foreign policy.

Also, the word democracy has no meaning to some historians. It’s simple, if you’re allied with the west you’re immediately considered a democracy w out any further unpacking…
