Just finished up a Devastating Chapter of the Wheat Field. The BIG Black Cloud turned out not being a Storm but something more fearsome such as a cloud of Grasshoppers that swept across the Wheat field and took it all out including the rest of the crops and garden.

Just finished Chapter 18: Moving In.
Charles got the House built with sawn boards fresh from the mill. And many other things. They moved from the Dugout to the House.
Laura got a taste of what Leeches were but didn't know what they were until she explained to Pa that she had these brown worm things on her legs that stretched when she pulled them off and left blood trickling down her leg.

I finished up Chapter 8: Straw-Stack.
Laura and Mary had the idea of climbing the Hay stack and sliding down. Then got in trouble by Pa, Pa told them to NOT Slide down the stack anymore.
Laura decided to climb and Roll down the stack. Well Pa said they couldn't climb and slide. I think Pa was secretly laughing looking out the door before telling them to stay away from the Stack.
