Ohhh so sad! I both love and hate the conversation between Hetta and her Vati. She is so bold and so perseverant but he is evil and hateful and secretive over and over again. The crime worse then murder is horrible how he says it and I feel sick alongside Hetta. I’m so glad Walter is going to be safe but no he’s been tortured to the point where it’s not even him it seems! Ah so much emotion :((

Really impressed with how the author wrote the argument between the two. It’s really weird saying that but it just adds a lot of depth to the characters and tension they have because of the really real events going on. it’s so interesting to see the battle in Hettis mind as she fights her Nazi views and what she is sure is true from Walter but it is mixed in with every other perspective too. The love letter too!!

Sad part here, but am really loving the tension and build in the character and her situation. It’s so interesting and crazy how strict her father is too, and the bad choice revealed!
