Chauncey and his dream of becoming a bellhop 😭🥹 i love this book so much already

“Because for the longest time, before he came here, he was called a monster, even by people who should have known better. He was told the stories of monsters hiding under beds whose calling in life was to frighten others. He thought that was who he was supposed to be.” 🥺

’Chauncey hefted it over his shoulder, his bellhop cap sitting crooked on his head. After, he made sure to tip Chauncey handsomely. It was what one did after having received first-rate service, after all. The saltwater on the floor was warm.’

’And next to it, piled lovingly, were buttons. So many buttons.’

yep, my eyes are leaking again🥹🥹

I don't doubt it for a second. I'm trying to savour this reading journey 🥹 I don't know how T.J. Klune does it every time! Glad to hear that you're loving/loved it as well!

Madam Ra Absolutely loving, how can you not? It’s heartwarming 🥹 and I kid you not I am reading slower, I want every word, cuz it’s so beautiful, but important as well
