I’m starting to get frustrated with this book. At times I find his framing around identifying your emotions and freeing yourself helpful. But it’s also condescending at times. He repeatedly states the most surface level advice like: “it’s really that simple” or “just let go”

Who am I? - I’m stuck pondering this question since finishing chapter 3

I’ve just finished reading about my inner voice as my “roommate.” I’m curious about the other’s approach to freeing my inner self but I’m also conflicted on how we’re able to self reflect in a healthy way if we’re encouraged to shut off our inner voice.
