I think interesting how they talk in this book. It’s definitely written in the eyes of young boys so far my biggest issue with this book is definitely that is a little too descriptive. I’m all for a descriptive book but I think this book probably would’ve been cut in half if it didn’t spend paragraphs describing things that didn’t need to be described.

The book is good. I like how they’re slowly descending into madness, forming into two different groups, one of civilized society, and one of savagery and human impulse. I like the references to the Lord of the flies and the meaning in symbolism that surrounds it. I like that every time they kill another pig, their humanity goes away a bit more going as far to even cut a head off and use it as a sacrifice.

I like reading about the slow breakdown of their society and how they are slowing falling closer to madness. And they finally killed a pig! I thought that leads to interesting implications of life and death in this book and I love the tension that comes with it. Also the talk of beast that is really about themselves in a way. Also, the dead guy that fell from the sky in a parachute is really interesting as well.
