“Encore” by Marley Valentine

This one was sweet but I didn’t fall for the characters like I did in most of the other stories. It felt so quick with the time jump that I didn’t even get to know them.

Jodi never lets me down with her characters and I’m so glad she made her short story about a goalie 🤍. This was a sweet delightful time and would read again (not that I’ll be able to find it again in this book of anthologies)

This is a sweet little story. It didn’t have much going on that kept you gripped in the storyline but it was a sweet pallet cleanser

This story was fun and different! It had murder and love and a whole lot of dogs. I thought the story line ended up being a little intense for such a short story but I still liked it.

I gave it a lower rating just because it was a very everyday storyline with not much going on but it’s still sweet and well written
(Not great that I understood the character who required therapy to my very core - but that doesn’t factor into the rating)

I didn’t like this one as much as the others so far but I think it was also shorter than the others so I felt like I knew nothing about anyone and I was just left with 100 questions that I now don’t even care if have answers.

“A Hot Date With Death” by C. Rochelle was so good!!! Loved the vibe and read it in one sitting. I don’t like that the author labeled it as HFN but I’ll just rewrite that for myself as a HEA.
