I heard that the author of the books Robin Hobb doesn’t like when people think that Fitz and Fool are in a romantic relationship. That also pull me away from continuing the series.

she’s gone on record about it, more than once. but who the fuck actually cares? it’s great when one is able to fully enjoy the book and experience it in the way it felt right for you. the love between fitz and the fool is written in blood and bone, something that outstrips every tidy label - romantic, platonic, neither, both. what the author says after the fact doesn’t rewrite the pages. their bond doesn’t come with limits
