hii so genuine question but do you always understand what she's saying or the themes she's exploring bcuz i read hour of the star and i did like it but i was always scared i didn't get the entire meaning of the novel but i also dislike vague litfic

hiii :D well, her completed stories are actually quite easy to read compared to her general work. while i haven’t read the hour of the star yet, i do sometimes find it a bit conflicting, mostly cause of the complex language. i usually understand the themes she explores, but it can take me a lot of time and reflection before fully grasping them; i’ve read agua viva twice, and the first time was quite challenging as i was struggling a bit with adapting to her style. the second time was way easier and i caught everything i missed, which helped me understand it much better than before and led me to wanting to read more of her works
ok i'll try revisit to revisit her work and see if i find something new in them like i really want to like her writing and i'm planning to pick an apprenticeship of pleasure
you should! :D it will definitely be worth it imo
