Vanity addresses are lowkey embarrassing actually like I get why real estate developers do it (pure signalling) but if you’re rich and you live on 1 Fancy Address and I find out the location SHOULD be 2747 Average Road I will be side eyeing you. like that’s actually not chic

I love how every chapter of this feels like a standalone podcast episode but they all come together to weave such a complete tapestry. Some of these are barely related to street naming but I’m eating it all up. The linguistics parts have been cool and I liked learning about Philadelphia (cool city).

Anna (ani) 🕷 saying this as someone who lives in a house that should be a 2747 Average Road but is actually styled as a 1 Fancy Address— but not because it’s fancy. because they put the damn house on a fake road
