A little nostalgia trip. I discovered Robbins when a good friend of mine found The Carpetbaggers in her parents’ bureau, read it, then loaned it to me. We might have been in junior high school—I know I had never read sex scenes like THAT before. These books were not in our small-town public library! But I bought more Robbins in nearby towns where shop owners didn’t know my parents. Sex education.
