Second chromosome chapter was about the second largest chromosome. Chromosome 2 at one point was 2 separate Chromosomes, and is the reason humans have 23 pairs of chromosomes while apes and chimps have 24. The chapter speaks a lot of evolution and the bridge species that lived before chimps and humans. reason for the species splitting into 2 is the formation of the Sahara desert acting as reproduction barrier

Read the introduction, pretty interesting so far. Went over different words that will be used throughout the book and some key ideas. A few that should be mentioned include:
Chromosomes 1-22 are labeled based on size, with chromosome one being the largest
Each chromosome contains genes, in total there are 30-80k genes
In order of size, Chromosome, Gene, exons untrusted by introns, codons, and bases (ACGT)
