Is the general theme amongst all the stories about gender and trauma?

People who talk to stuffed animals focuses on a male individual and his relationship with love and friendship. What was strange was how he got better after letting his feelings out but the other girl seemed like something was wrong with it.

So, our main dude might be asexual/aromantic, but he seems to not understand love. His best friend seems like a better match than anyone else he’s talked about.
