also i don’t want this to come off wrong or anything but was the whole backstory for kay or whatever his name was really… necessary?? like i sympathize completely it’s truly so sad but it just didn’t fit the story at all like how am i supposed to take such a devastating event seriously when the whole premise of the book is basically gay corn stars falling in love ?? idk i mean ig i understand how he’s broody and he is how he is for a reason but the two very bipolar plots are making me feel so conflicted between my disgust for rape and then my utter bewilderment of the ridiculousness of the book itself

not to invalidate the fact that anyone can be a victim, it’s just… odd idk it wasn’t even falling in love too just having sex all day every day 😰 nevertheless it’s not the worst book i’ve ever read, it’s just hella weird
