I wonder what will happen next in the chapter called “Slaughter in the Halls”?

Menelaus: Farewell. I will give this gift of horses and a chariot.
Telemachus: My island is pretty much a rocky cliff. The horses will die. So… thanks but no.
M: In that case, heres a giant mixing bowl!
Helen: And here’s a homemade robe I weaved myself for a future wife you don’t have!
T: I came here for news of my father and military help….

I keep trying to think about how this would have been received back in the day, if there is a modern tv equivalent. Every episode, someone warns Odysseus what traps to avoid. He tells his crew. Odysseus takes a nap and his crew decides to do exactly what they have been told not to do. Half of the crew dies. Odysseus sleeps with some sexy goddess of nymph. It starts over.

“…Hebe, famed for her lithe, alluring ankles,…” I swear Odysseus is so freaking weird
