Paranoid a chant: interesting and effective; was this related to jfk at all? I’m not very knowledgeable in poetry but I don’t think this is a great poem, but it does feel like you’re in the mind of a conspiracy theorist so I think it works. Would grind if it went on longer but luckily it doesn’t. Doesn’t really have much of a punch either. But it’s fun.

Mrs Todd: I liked the ending but the story was t all that interesting

The jaunt: I really liked this one! A fun sci fi with a bit of cosmic horror. I liked the slow reveal of what the issue with the jaunt was, and I was expecting mark to be the one something bad happened to, so the reveal that it was Rick was kind of a surprise. Overall: fun, short, and interesting.

Cain rose up: feels like a worse rehash of apt pupil

Da monkey: I liked this one though it was hard to shake the movie

Here there be tygers: who even knows. Is this like a reference to that one Ray Bradbury story where the kids have a holodeck and sic it on their parents? Is it a reference to tyger Roger burning bright? What’s up with the basement? Am I stupid?

The mist: Really good. I loved the movie and so was often comparing this novella to that, and other than a weak ending all that made the movie good story wise was in the novella.
