Why would they put such a top tier man in a book with such an insufferable immature woman

I am intregued however I am no longer surprised that this book didn’t pop off

She is the most insufferable fmc I’ve ever read I think

This took a turn I wasn’t prepared for

I do not like how the fmc acts like she’s fearless until something happens and then she’s immediately helpless

Also why is she always asking if this man is mad

I’m confused why women have no rights but also if anyone wrongs her they die
