Surprised by Schlesinger story. As I wasn’t caring for his tributes in this part. However, found it exciting that he found a way to share his idea with Kennedy!
The last two chapters on books - fun seeing what he’s read, comparing it to what I’ve read, and finding myself wanting to see what some were about.

Favorite in part 2: the chapters about Washington and Truman - they convey the complexities of these man flaws and strengths that made them great presidents. Interesting to compare it with who sits in the Oval Office today.

“The Art of Biography” interview was my favorite chapter. I enjoyed learning about DMC’s writing process.
I want to read one of his books - knowing the research he puts into it and the way he writes as a story. Andy’s read many and always likes them. I’m going to start with John Adams which is more about Abigail.
