I enjoyed the Temperance Brennan series up to the point where they start to feel ridiculous. A bit like the Kay Scarpetta series.

I’m really really enjoying this so far! Hopefully it doesn’t get too ridiculous for me as I’d like to stick with it through to the end :)
Have You tried Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch series or Jeffrey Deaver's Lincoln Rhyme series.
