This whole book reads like a diary

The concept of dreaming about your dead best friend going to your small town’s limits with you and saying that this is as far as he can go but at least you can still leave… I’m gonna bawl my eyes

Before reaching the age of 20, Oliver has dealt with abusive stepdads, unrequited love with his straight best friend, the sudden death of said best friend, getting cheated on by his first real partner, and now he’s probably dating some guy that lives in an alternate timeline… just L after L after L

I’m getting so much second-hand embarrassment from this but it’s lowk realistic like this is how deprived college freshmen act
