I didn’t like the writing :( it was like the author was trying to prove something to me and not actually say something with the words he chose. Vernacular felt like he had a thesaurus open the whole time and not picking words that actually conveyed his exact meaning. I like big and unusual words because they are exact, not because they prove how smart a writer is.
