I've noticed that Terry Pratchett's villains became pretty ineffectual and self-defeating in his later books. It's very rare I'm feeling genuinely threatened by them anymore.

I never really noticed the crowd in the cover on my first read-through. This time I'm noticing and can't look away. It's the black eyes.

Also, Death. But no Librarian as far as I can see.

I first read this book before Going Postal, around when it came out, and apart from the basic premise and the introduction of the main character I have no recollection of what happens. Something about a dog. So far it's been good, though.
