The level of scrutiny Michelle had to undergo as First Lady was actually insane. Mind you no other First Lady faced it to this much of a degree, but of course everything is more emphasized because she’s black

I love how regardless of her title Michelle always strived to be personable with those around her. With the services workers in the house, and even the Queen (that she faced a scandal for hugging - but the whole exchange was so wholesome because the Queen hugged her back).
