alright, who's gonna be the fool and bond with the ice dragon?

Poor Fitz :( he always has the worst time. Of course he was the only one to be drugged with elfbark! my poor boy. I hate this for him. and these stupid men (Chade and Dutiful) are so insensitive. He's involuntarily pouring out his soul, and you say it's all in his mind?? Chade YOU SUCK

I am so suspicious. My theory is that Nettle isn't at the place, I think she might have been kidnapped. Also, I think she is still under the misconception that Burrich is her father. Am I too suspicious or is Fitz not paying attention? The island is definitely messing with them, and they are too stupid or stubborn to resist it.

also, predicating that fitz is going to die or put all his memories in a stone dragon. he mentions it too much and im afraid.

I really don't get the draw of the stone dragons. Why do people with skill want to put their memories in them so bad at the cost of their lives? And it's so sad how the forged ones had their memories ripped from them and placed into the dragon and it didn't even come to fruition. There is still so much unknown about the red sails. it bothers me!

also, the first part of this book is not fun. It's just Fitz having to take care of Thick and he's treated horribly. like no one is having a good time and its very repetitive. I wish Fitz would take Wit's offer and learn more about the wit. I am so curious to learn more.
ALSO I was not expecting the fool waiting on the island lololol I knew he was going to show up eventually but that was so soon lol hes so dramatic

I'm not vibing with Fitz's justification here. For several books he was adamant about protecting Nettle and keeping that secret. But once Dutiful finds out and suddenly " it's out of his hands" he just accepts it?? like girl you sacrificed so much to keep her away from the crown and now you just accept it?? I think he's just so beat down and he's relieved that the choice was taken from him

and another thing: I hate how they invalidate Fitz's feelings when they don't align with everyone's plans. Chade is so manipulative. I would have punched the smile off his face, that pissed me off. I just dont believe that Nettle should be used just bc they share blood. She doesn't owe them anything.

I usually agree with Dutiful and give him grace bc of his age, but brother you have no right to speak to Fitz like that about HIS daughter. He kept her a secret so she wouldn't be used. I hate how everyone thinks they have a right to Fitz and his daughter. Leave her alone! let the Farseer line die I don't care! Fitz literally already DIED for them and now they want to take and use his daughter?? its so cruel
